Does a multiclass character in NWN get XP penalties for the difference in the class levels? For example i've got a (6)cleric/(3)thief avatar. Would she receive the penalties and how this affects to the game?

No, I don't believe so. My human Ftr6/Rgr6/Wiz5 does not get any XP penalties as far as I know.

Maybe if you have picked a non-human race, but I cannot see why you should get any penalties otherwise.

I hope so, cause i'm fed up with raising as a thief...., I only wanted to raise a couple of levels to use the sneak attack and disarm traps!!!!

I feel obligated to point out that Your character, as pointed out above, is not subject to XP Penalties anyway, as all classes are within 1 level of the others.

True, but that was also the case with Thelonius Andrass' character? I assume NWN follow standard D&D rules.
Anyway, thank you for pointing that out

It depends on a few things. We do not know the character race of Thelonius Andrass' character . The level 6/3 might not result in penality if the cleric is favored class. Adding a thrid class could result in penality until the other then favored classes are within 1 level of each other.
This would be consistant with 3.0 rules in which is what NWN (last time I checked) coded under.

Thelonius Andrass, If you are either Human, Half-elf, or halfing, you should not have any XP Penalties. Any other races, I'm afraid, will result in said penalty.

Note: I reserve the right, as always, to be totally off my mark due to convenient bouts of temporary insanity. I am, of course, never wrong.

My cleric/thief is an elven subrace (drow ), now it's a level 8 cleric level 3 thief
