I remember that in one of the Older Realms of X Novels there was a story about some humanoid catlike creatures (I dont think they where Werecats) in Cormyr, anyone remember what the story was called and which Realms of X Book it was in?

Sounds like chapter 30 of Cormyr: A Novel in which a young Prince Azoun learned a valuable lesson from an encounter with a weretiger. |

Not Cormyr: A Novel, but it was still set in Cormyr per your first post?

Not Realms of Magic then. I did a flip through and there is no picture matching that description. In fact, all the stories have the same picture at the top of the first page in that anthology. |

Damn, I am drawing a blank. Sorry I can't be more help. Maybe Realms of Mystery? I'm not familiar with that anthology's stories. |

Glad to hear. That's the anthology I originally reached for when I read your first post. But, I stopped myself recalling "The Family Business" by I believe James Lowder was in that tome. I didn't think they would have two stories featuring Cormyr figures. I see I was wrong. |

Okay, now that the Scavenger Hunt is over, I'll ask. Why the need for the story? Just couldn't recall it? Or getting ideas for some unsuspecting DM/player? |

I normally go over there to poke Eric Mona about the lack of Realms articles in Dragon and Dungeon magazine |

There was also a story about catfolk in several issues of the Forgotten Realms comic. It's in the story arc when they crash land in Anauroch.
I always figured the two stories (the one in the comic and the short story) were related somehow.

There was also the story arc in the AD&D comic early on (2nd story arc) where slavers drag Vajra back to Abon Duum and Manshaka only to get entangled in a story involving the Cat Lord (a former Greyhawk godling and master of all cats). Can't recall if I noted any of that info into LOI beyond mentioning Duum's passing.

I remember the mention of Abon Duum, but that was about it.
And wasn't it the third story arc? Spell Games, I think it was called... |
