In my current campaign, one of the character is a monk trained by the Long Death order. His character like the philosophy of the order, but his skills (mainly DEX ones) won't bring it to the Monk of the long death PrC.
He's curently faithless, but looking him play is LE alignement, I think that he would be a perfect Bane's follower.
I'm thinking to create a Monk Order dedicated to Bane and maybe a 5-level PrC. Maybe there is an official one (order, not Prc) but I have never heard of.
Any idea, comments, suggestions would be appreciated.

Theres already an official Monk order for Bane
The Order of the Iron Gauntlet led by Mara Kalaliv, the order isnt very big and its trained in Stealth and Assasination

Actually, they exist as a small sect within the hierarchy of the Zhentarim. These monks are known to train in techniques of stealth and assassination. There are currently few in number as Dargoth mentioned, but their leader has been recruiting widely.
Some online sites suggest a combination of assassin and fighter classes to represent these monks. Although from my perspective, given their devotion to Bane, I'd throw in some divine abilities as well.

Hmm I dont believe Ive seen a Monk friendly Prc that gives Sneak attack or Death Attack
Maybe there will be something in Champions if ruin |

Monk of the Long Death from Player's Guide to Faerun has Death Attack. Other than that though there seems to be a shortage of Death Attacking monks. Maybe I'll try to come up with something for the Order of the Iron Gauntlet. I've never made a PrC before so it should be interesting. |

It could actually be very easy
For class skills give the Monk of the Iron Gauntlet Sneak attack, for other class abilities give it Granted power from the Initate of Bane or Dreadful Wrath Feat and the Touch of Hate feat from Vile section of the Book of Vile Darkness section of the PGTF |

This is what I got so far... still obviously a work in progress.
Hit Die: d8
Requirements
Alignment: Must be Lawful Evil
Skills: Hide 8 ranks, Intimidate 5 ranks, Knowledge (Religion) 5 ranks, Move Silently 8 ranks
Feats: Improved Unarmed Strike, Improved Grapple
Patron: Bane
Special: Sneak Attack as a class ability, Ki Strike as a class ability.
The candidate must be a member of the Zhentarim and be accepted into the Order of the Iron Gauntlet.

I originally was going to make it 10 levels but as I've said before I am a virg rookie when it comes to making PrC. So, when I tried to come up with abilities I either tried to give them something every level and it was too powerful or I tried to stagger things and it seemed like their were too many levels with nothing.
The abilities I have listed over 5 are pretty much the abilities I would want over 10 with maybe the addition of a bonus feat or something else. Any help is appreciated. I am currently running a Zhentarim campaign, if I get this thing finished I may use one as an NPC. |
