I just joined so I might as well say hi.

I dont play D&D but I found the Realms through the PC game Baldurs Gate. I loved the game so much that I wanted to learn more about the world it was set it. I started buying novels and then bought the AD&D Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting (grey box). Since then I've played BG2, Icewind Dale and Neverwinter Nights and both expansions. I've also bought the 3.0 campaign setting, Monsters of Fearun, Faiths and Pantheons, Lords of Darkness, Magic of Fearun, Silver Marches and Races of Fearun.

Take care
Blackbird

Welcome to Candlekeep!

Feel free to ask any questions you may have... A lot of us have been Realms fans for years, and we know a thing or three about the setting. Plus, we've got some of the authors and creators here!

As for the rest of us, we are friendly, mostly harmless, and occasionally strange... Enjoy your stay!

Welcome Blackbird. Well... playing D&D isn't a pre-requisite to getting involved here and as you can tell I'm not an avid D&D fan either. Geez you certainly got a stockpile of games there. I went looking for some FR games (I already have BGII:SoA and ToB) but for some reason the store was out. Damn post-Christmas sales.

You might want to partially lay the blame for that, at my feet. Just after Christmas, I made every effort to hunt down every FR CRPG that I was missing, in Perth, so it's likely that I purchased the several "only one left" copies.

Which ones were you looking for?

Welcome Blackbird! You have quite a collection of gaming materials for someone who doesn't play. Not that I can blame you, much of what you can get is very interesting reading whether you play or not.
