I'd say that their presence aboard spelljammers isn't as common as it is among regular sailing craft, but they can serve aboard spelljammers -- any cleric of any deity can.
Remember, the Spelljammer line is dead, as far as WotC is concerned. I doubt we'll ever see any further references to it in WotC products...
Oh, but there is one important line in the wrtie-up of Valkur in Powers & Pantheons: "In other religious images he is shown at the helm of the great galleon Windjammer, which can sail across any sea and even fly through the heavens." I would read that as some support for spelljamming clerics. It doesn't indicate that he's worshipped beyond Realmspace, though, so once the cleric leaves the sphere, he's either got to find a compatible deity or cast contact home power. |
