Hi!
A friend on another site recommended I check out this place so I took his advice... and here I am.
Haven't had much of a chance of a look around yet but it looks good so far...
Anyway; the name's Martin and I love fantasy, though I haven't read much Forgotten Realms stuff yet (I'm reading the Icewind Dale trilogy at the moment).

Welcome to Candlekeep!
Feel free to ask any questions you may have... A lot of us have been Realms fans for years, and we know a thing or three about the setting. Plus, we've got some of the authors and creators here!
As for the rest of us, we are friendly, mostly harmless, and occasionally strange... Enjoy your stay!

Greetings to you Martin, and welcome to this little corner of the Realms that we like to call Candlekeep .
I hope you enjoy your stay here in the library, and remember that almost any answer to almost any Realms question can be discovered within. Simply tap the shoulder of any of the scribes you see scurrying around the place, or better still, take a moment to leaf through the pages of tomes penned by the grandest scribes of all... FR writers! . I'm sure you will find whatever it is you seek here in Candlekeep.
Oh, before I let you go I must know... you really aren't one of those nasty 'spellweaver' creatures are you...? Surely not...

Well met, Martin Spellweaver, and indeed welcome to Candlekeep
I see my fellow scribes have started with the warm welcomes now, take a seat and feast thine eyes upon the many scrolls and tomes of Realmslore, and share the tales of thy travels with us all.
Enjoy thy stay. |

Thank you for your warm welcome.
I won't have much time for visiting and looking around yet - I'm a little busy elsewhere at the moment - but I'll try to visit when I can.
I'm looking forward to when I'll have the time for a really good look around and see what people are up to.
In reply to The Sage: Martin Spellweaver is a Chaotic Neutral Half-Elf, so you never know what to expect of him... he takes even myself by surprise on occaision...
Thanks again, everyone, for the welcome, and I'll see you around sometime... |

Welcome Martin. Browse the shelves, ask some questions, and contribute to the lore. Oh, and keep your head down in the inn if you stop by. |
