hehehe, found this on the WotC forum. Quite funny, it shows the Players Guide to Faerun on the table in a pic in the Sharn: City of Towers Eberron book... yes it is real, not butchered.

Someone has a good sense of humor. Actually several someones as not only did someone have to draw this, but someone had to approve the piece's inclusion in the tome.
Thanks for the pic!

More likely, they just didn't notice what was on the cover of the book... And did anyone else notice that we're looking at the front cover of the PGtF, but from the position of the book, it should be the back cover? |

Give them a break WR! The figures in the image probably tossed the tome down in a huff asking, "Is it Ukta or Uktar?" |

Yeah I noticed it, but I didn't care, I just thought it was quite amusing and like to think that the artist is an FR fan assigned to EB artwork and thought "shucks! i'll show 'em, the Realms is always in my heart"
Keep a look out for future Eberron artwork, maybe lurking behind a tree will be Drizzt, or stood at a market stall buying apples will be Elminster Hold on, that Warforged looks uncannily like Wulfgar |

I decided this needed airing over at the FR gen forum over at WOTC |

I'm almost tempted to go over there and see the resultant discussion... But not quite. |

Dargoth, this is where I got this from originally (see my initial post).
Maybe it would go down well in the EB forum on WotC |

I already pointed that one out on Worlds.
Interestingly, it shows something about the folks of Eberron . . . apparently, they read right-to-left. Good information to know when roleplaying.
Oh, and Sage says there are at least two other Easter eggs in the book, but the only thing he's letting on is that one of them is an obscure 1e reference. |

Easter eggs, huh? I've seen that term in many place, but never in reference to something in a print book. I suppose it's appropriate, though. |

Oh, well. I guess I've missused yet another computer-related term.

Being somewhat of a graduate of the arts myself this is exactly what I was thinking. If that is indeed the case then I got it right away. I guess the "joke" is on the editors then eh? ;) |
