just received a massive review on Slashdot. Keep in mind that Slashdot is a tech news site, so the reviewer might have paid attention to different things then would be covered at ENWorld, for example. Also, there may be some offensive content in the comments-don't say you weren't warned.

Well I saw this book in the store at the weekend and promply picked it up as i've been excited about this product for a while Alas, my wife quickly grabbed it from me and rushed to the counter to buy it me for christmas
...now i'm going crazy knowing I will have to wait almost a month to look through it! ARGH! Still, i'm sure the wait will be worthwhile.
Any views on this product? |

Oh no, no, no. Tell your lovely wife you just became Jewish and in honor of Hanukkah starting in a week, you want you book NOW!
If she doesn't believe you, fake a call from a doctor confirming your surgical appointment later in the month.
Snip, snip, all done.

I assume you have the book and are quite impressed then, Sirius?
Any particular favorite areas of the book? Does it have dedicated areas discussing each of the campaign settings throughout the history of D&D? How much coverage is there on the Realms? Anything written from Ed et al?
Sorry for all the questions, as I said, i'm quite excited about this one |

...And since the book is from WotC, I must ask: What new feats and prestige classes are in the book? And has yet another race returned to the Realms? |

Unfortunately Wooly, I think we're in a minority with wanting fluff and the more I see on the WotC boards (and also by some of the polls here regarding favorite FR sourcebook etc.) crunch is the winner as far as WotC are concerned But I won't get up on my soapbox again about this |

Nope, just a big advocate of Masters of Realmslore getting their books when they want them. |
