Bugger I pasted the wrong link and the WOTC forums are down.
If you go to the DDM forums when the site comes back up and look for a thread starting with the word Europe you'll find the thread

doesn't the "free league ranger" (16/60) look like Tanis Half-elven? |

As Aboleth are huge and we havent heard anything to suggest that Night Belo is another huge set I doubt it.
As for Beholders my pick for Unhallowed set is the Death tyrant |

Hello-
I posted over at the WOTC boards a question - and nobody has really had anything to say. Curious if our own in-house minis expert (Dargoth) would have any information.
My first (and so far only) BW pack came w/ the Mounted Githyanki mini - however - there was no Githyanki. Well - sort-of. His boots we on the sides of the dragon's neck - and ended in little pointy bits. And there was no 'loose' Gith in the bag (which I have not opened).
Do I have any recourse in this - or am I just out of luck? Secondarilly - do mis-made mins have any value above and beyond their normally-made counterparts?
Thanks!

I am collecting the D&D Minis. I would be more than willing to trade with people. You can send me a PM here with your email listed - and I can send you my minis list. Thanks!

Hello-
Thanks for the quick reply.
Now - why do they seemingly hide this information? :)
I'll look into contacting them. Thanks again!

Mace
Lidda (Brand manager for DDM over at Wotc)
quote:
I've learned a little more about the situation:
Although the directive from the EU Union to change to "safer" plastic has been on the books for several years now, we were not aware that we needed to make any changes to our products until sometime around April or May. I'm not sure of the exact date, and I am also not sure why we didn't get the word. By that point we were already producing Blood War.
There was a huge to-do here in order to get everything compliant. The solution: two production runs of Blood War. The first run, with the eat-three-cases-and-you-might-get-sick plastic was already in process so we decided that product would go to everyone except Europe. The second run, with the maybe-you'll-have-to-eat-five-cases-before-you-get-sick (I'm joking, of course) plastic would be for Europe. Turns out adding a second run, what with switching out plastics and basically changing gears, ate up a bunch of time and delayed the EU release date. Believe me, we don't want to ever release at different times for different markets. It is not good business.
Going forward, all production will be with the new plastic (which, BTW, is more expensive than what we had been using). We figure it'll just be a matter of time before the whole world requires the new stuff, it's time consuming to do different runs of plastic, and logistically painful to have multiple codes for the same product. We do not anticipate any further release date variances.

| I still hope that Wizards will, soon, release "army packs" that just have one type of creature or a common theme so that I don't have to scrounge together orcs from various sources to actually get my 60+ orc horde together... |

Hello-
I just saw this new article on the WOTC site. It discusses the reasons we have not yet seen a Gelatanous Cube. :)
I thought it was informative, as well as interesting!
