Remember the old expression "It is easier to ask for forgiveness than permission"?
Well, I made a Pen-and-Paper conversion module of the 1994 TSR "City of Splendors" boxed set. It is posted on the web at the NWN Vault on the "New Modules" page if you are interested.
The reason I am posting here is that I am concerned about the number of changes I had to make in order to fit the module into the Aurora Toolset. Here is the "changes" section of my modules' ReadMe file. I would appreciate some honest feedback.
CHANGES FROM PNP VERSION:
1) Changed the location of Aurora's catalog counter from South High Road to Coach Street so I could add it to the module.
2) Added some NPC's not in the boxed set for "local color". (such as the fire genasi sales clerk at Aurora's Catalog Counter)
3) Changed the layout of the Adventurer's Quarter, because you can't have curved streets in the 'city exterior' tileset.
4) Changed the inventory of Piatran Clothiers to include magical clothing items and crafting supplies.
5) Changed the inventory of the Kolat Brothers' Magic Shop to remove all magical clothing and add blank scrolls, magic potion bottles, and bone wands.
6) Changed the inventory of Aurora's Catalog Counter to exclude magical clothing and include magical light gems for weapon crafters.
7) Changed the layout of the sewers under the Adventurer's Quarter, their inhabitants, and what the sewers connect to in order to suit the needs of my module.
8) Excluded several locations/NPC's in the Adventurer's Quarter which had no direct bearing on the adventure, such as Madam Garrah's Boarding House, Amrani the Laundress, Nindal Jalbuck, etc....)
9) Changed the layout of the first level of the "House of the Homeless" dungeon in order to expand my adventure a bit. In the FR Atlas, the main level is a carbon copy of the second level.
10) Changed the spelling of the Phaulkon family name to Phaulcon.
