This is perhaps the gem of them all...

Good luck!

I think you might be right. The opportunity to write about anything sci-fi or fantasy is too good to pass up. :D

Did you notice the kicker to this deal? You have to have the manuscript finished by the end of the open call...

If you're serious about writing -- really, truly serious -- you should be writing whether or not an opportunity is currently waiting for you. With this in mind, there are many writers, myself included, who already have one or more completed manuscripts they could potentially submit. If you want to publish a novel, the first step is to write one. For the vast majority of fiction writers, actually submitting the manuscript somewhere happens much farther down the road.

But, they will also be looking to buy an option for game and entertainment rights. Basically, you would write a novel which could become a game setting! Sounds interesting.

Ths is the perfect opportunity to get into WotC's novel line. However, despite my many short stories in progress and ideas, I simply do not have the time to get stuck into such a task As Zyx states, anyone truely serious about wanting to write professionally would have numerous works already completed and waiting for opportunities such as this.

Good luck to anyone who goes for it.

Good luck to those who enter. I wish I had more time...like back when I was still studying and my brain was partially working. Now my brain's status is currently switched to 'standby' instead, takes a while to boot up.

I have not seen anything. Then again, I don't frequent WOTC's site on a regular basis. It will be interesting to see what they come up with.
