Hello,

I'm Ryss Firemaster and I've been lurking in the dark shadowy corners of this grand plance for some time now.

But now I finally decided to announce my presence. I already like this place and the people so I hope you will end up at least... tolerating me...

And thanks to Alaundo for creating this place. I've enjoyed my lurking tremendously.

Well met, Aleta.

Of course we can talk. We mages talk to anyone...

Though, of course, I can't promise to make sense all the time, but I'll do my best.

Welcome to the keep, Ryss Firemaster.

Nevermind about making sense though, as you well know (from lurking as it were) only some of the scribes make sense some of the time, and the rest of us make no sense all the time... but once in a while.. some one does make sense... and thus the reason for the burning stake out front... Beware sense.. it is the enemy of the muse!

Again Welcome to the keep!

Thank you, Cardinal

It's an honor to meet someone with both wit and gravitas.

Myself, I try to emulate a young girl I once heard of and lose my senses at least three times a day.

..... or was it something to do with the impossible...?

Never mind, it'll come back to me....

Welcome to Candlekeep!

Feel free to ask any questions you may have... A lot of us have been Realms fans for years, and we know a thing or three about the setting. Plus, we've got some of the authors and creators here!

As for the rest of us, we are friendly, mostly harmless, and occasionally strange... Enjoy your stay!

Thank you, Master Rupert.

Yes, I have noticed the noble people who have gathered here.
And I have already been gathering lore and enjoying the legendary Sage Greenwoood's introduction.

You all seem perfectly nice and perfectly strange...

Welcome Ryss. I hope the Firemaster surname isn't linked to any specific tendencies you may have with that certain element.

Thank you, Hammer,

Well, not so much "tendencies" as "knowledge of." But I try not to go over the tops with such things. A well-phrased theat is far less strenous than a fireball spell...

Thank you Mylady Lady. A good hearty welcome from the natives is always a good start to an arrival.

No need to say sorry. This is, after all, a very big place with a lot of people. I look forward to a hopefully very long stay.

Well, you have now been greeted right back. I am not entirely sure that I know, what I'm letting myself in for, in the Inn, but it certainly looks like a fun place to visit...

Welcome to the halls, as you can probably tell sitting behind a desk staring at scrolls can seriously affect your mental health. Alaundo does let us out in the garden occasionally though.

Garden?

You mean sunshine and fresh air?

That's disgusting...

What's wrong with sunshine & fresh air? I've always found it to be quite pleasant- it's really nice to read in.

I'm a mage to- a fighter-mage...well I prefer playing them (no-offence intended to anyone else who holds a different opinion to mine)

Also dust bunnies hate sunshine & fresh air, so there's a good use for both

I suppose I can't complain too much.

Sunshine and fresh air, keeps those blokes playing soccer and whatnot off the steets...

No, I am not a vampire. Stop looking at me like that...

I never thought you were a vampire
I have a few friends (& another character) who are vampires (though I've got nothing against vampires- gotta love their strength & abilities at night)

True.. but i imagine it would be a bit of a downturn, for someone who loves food.

Drinking all that blood... Yuck!

Well that's what they call food- though they still would probebly eat food every now & then- reminds them of being alive.

But still- it'd take forever to get all the bloodstains out of your clothes & teeth- imagine that amount of dry cleaning & visits to the dentist

Although of course, when they do go to the dentist or the dry-cleaners, they have the option of getting fast food at the same time.
