I made this topic because I've been trying to find information on truly powerful and epic warriors in Faerun. I know of the most well-known ones such as Azoun IV and Shurrupak. However, it seems that while there are like dozens of high-level epic mages running around the Realms, a high-level fighter type is almost never mentioned. Recently, I read about Achillea and Akhorahil the Viperfang, both very high level fighters. But these two come from Chessenta, like many other high level warriors that I read about and this city isn't exactly in the spotlight like Waterdeep. Does anyone know of any other powerful warriors and fighters in Faerun that are currently still alive?

Durnan comes to mind right away. Piergeiron too if you'll consider a paladin in your category. |

Yes, those are the well-known ones, like Drizzt Do'Urden and such. But I want to know if there are like epic warriors, ones as powerful as like Shurrupak. |

Some of this might be a biut dated but ...
Three of the four Grand Dukes of Balder's Gate are fairly high level fighters, ranging from 19th level to 21st.
Vaerana Hawklyn of Elversult is a 19th level ranger, High Blade Selfaril of Mulmaster is a 20th level fighter, Captain Raithspur of the Ordulin Guard is 21st level, Tathlosar of Helm in Berdusk is listed as an 18th level warrior.

As far as I know, they're arent any other fighters as strong (high level) as Shurrupak, but several high level fighters could include the mentioned Drizzt and also Entreri from Calmisan
Also, Selfaril Uoumdolphin of Mulmaster (lvl 20 Ftr/Rgr) of Mulmaster
Oops. Didnt see Selfaril already mentioned >_<
(Edit)Yeesh, keep forgeting people
King Harbroum of Citadel Adbar and I guess you could consider Bruenor a high level fighter. |

Other than Selfaril (who I already know about), do you know where I can find information on the others. Hmm... since you mentioned a ranger, I remember that Bran Skorlsun is like a 18th level ranger or something.

Hmm... King Harbroum is a Ftr10/Dwarven Defender 7 and Bruenor is a 13th level fighter. Both aren't exactly the epics I'm looking for. |

Not really. I got the names and their levels from FR Adventures, under the listings for their respective cities, but I don't think that there is much more.
Then again, alot has been done with Baldur's Gate, no? Perhaps a novel might tell something of one of the Dukes?
Oh, one of the Dukes of the Gate, Eltan by name, is also the leader of the Flaming Fist Merc. company, so that might be give you an idea of a source for him.
Sorry I couldn't be more help.

Now, that you mentioned Eltan, I remember him being from before now. However, I didn't know that the other dukes were also such skilled fighters too. |

How about Gwydion, Human male 20th-level paladin of Torm.
Artemis Entreri's 2ed stats gives him aways as a 11th-level thief/15th level fighter, which in my eyes turn him epic. sadly I think he got reduced to level 18 or something in 3ed.

Uh... isn't Gwydion dead? Stupid paladin survives waves of attacks by assassins and clerics of Cyric but dies by the dagger of a stupid merchant.
BTW, where did you find stats on Gwydion? I especially wanted to know more about the bonuses he received from Kelemvor when he went back to Faerun to protect Rida and also about his sword Titanslayer. |

Aye. Duke Entar Silvershield is listed as a LG Fighter 21, while Duke "Belt" is a CN Fighter 19. Must be an interesting council that they and their LN and CG peers comprise!
Anyway, I'm suprised I forgot this one given my CotD fetish, but there is also Naergoth Bladelord (NE, F21) who is (was?) the leader of the Sembian cell of the Cult of the Dragon.
I also just came across Destrin Chamaerlyn, who is a Paladin 18 from, and/or in, Urmlaspyr.

Naergoth Bladelord... isn't he in the Lord of Darkness manual? I remember reading about how he is in charge of security in the Cult's new stronghold for the dragons.
BTW, I came across a Belurastra "Steelvoice" Sembergelt and a Darlethed One-Eye. Does anyone have any info on these two?
Belurastra "Steelvoice" Sembergelt (N HF F24) Leader of the adventuring fellowhip known as the Sword Sisters; later Baroness of the realm of Semberthar in the Border Kingdoms. A tall muscular woman with a voice of iron and a commanding presence.
Darlethed One-Eye (N HM F17/W13) The Cloudlord of Mt. Ulympos in western Chessenta, and Guardian of the Portal to the Gathering-Place. Darlethed is a huge (8' tall), iron-thewed giant of a man who wields a great mithril-shod staff and says little. To those who somehow stumble upon the path to the Portal, he blocks their way and simply points back down the trail, unmoving. If attacked, he will respond with his spells and several powers granted to him by the gods as Guardian of the Portal. |

Stilmus, 15th-levelfighter and scarred veteran of many conflicts. He is the leader of The Society of the Sword.
Easel Gifford of Amn a 21st-level Paladin, leader of the Code Helm. A company focused of riding the realms of mindflayers. |

Very cool
Reminds me of a guy that I'm working on called Crom the Fallen. A huge stocky warrior some 8 or 9' tall who lives atop a mountain on the western border of the Anauroch. He maybe, possibly, conceivably, perhaps might have once been an ancient Netherese warrior, but now has power to rival that of a demi-god. He took a stern fancy to a local tribe of barbarians long ago and is still worshipped by them today. While he doesn't grant spells, he personally answers prayers and sacrifices left at the ordained place of worship (foot of the mountain), and has many times engaged giants and dragons and the like in battle on behalf of the tribe, or influenced the weather or what not.

Interesting... but so if he might have been ancient Netherese, how would he have survived that long to this day? Is he supposed to be some undead spirit or maybe he has taken longetivity potions? |

Well, it's all quite sketchy right now, but I'm pondering that he undertook various quests to increase his personal power, even achieving a kind of immortality, agelessness really (I'm not sure exactly how), but for all of his efforts he was denied entrance to the pantheon (I'm not sure why).
