Hmmm... perhaps it's time for the Sage to cast another alter self...

I take it then, that you find some of the new images interesting, Rad? Any in particular?

There are perhaps 4 or 5 that im interested in, Dwarf 5 and 6, Thief 6 and a couple of the warriors have caught my eye. All of which are quite different to my current avatar
Any in particular which youre interested in Sage? I think there are a couple quite suitable to you |

Hey Sirius! Are your avatars inspired in Raistlin Majere? Or it is only coincidence? |

No idea, you'd have to ask whoever put them in the library. |

Actually, I was hoping you'd say something to that effect . I'm having some difficulty deciding between several images.
Which do you think are suitable for me?

Well let me see..... I think the Dwarf 6 or Dwarf 5 suit your image, Gnome 4 is quite suitable too. Wizard 15 maybe? And for an older one, Cleric 2 seems quite "come closer, let me tell you something of the Realms" style What do you have your eye on in particular? |

An excellent number of suggestions, Rad. As it happens, Gnome 4 was one of the particular images that made the listing of my final 3. It's also an image more in line with the "doddering and finicky old gnomish sage" personae thet I feel Rastromo Meradoc portrays. And finally, as a bonus, the gnome image reminds me of Hashkar, Factol of the Fraternity of Order (a faction from Planescape dedicated to discovering the laws behind the multiverse and also one of my favorite PS NPCs).
So, taking that all into consideration, I felt the change was best. And now, thanks to your suggestion... look at what has occured...

Well, another scribe supplied me with an avatar more appropriately named -- it's actually a painting called Bookwyrm. (I swear, no relation. ) The only reason I haven't used it is because Alaundo had been so good as to lock my avatar for my personal use, so I thought it would have been rude to just turn around and change it. Still, perhaps it's been long enough . . . . |

I had a look through some of the newest portraits and I feel especially honoured in that my portrait bears my name! Also everyone else is looking rather dapper these days as well
Once again my thanks to you Alaundo for accepting my portrait. |

I think that's less of an honor than you think. Your portrait is locked to you, which is why it would have been renamed Talwyn. (Mine is called Bookwyrm, rather than the Wizard 9 it used to be.) |

Can I put in a vote for the Hammer of Moradin to be included in the next avatar update! My current avatar is nice, but doesn't quite catch my characters uniqueness. |

All you have to do is ask Hammer. Here is an avatar I just created for you real quick. Let me know if you like it and I'm sure Alaundo will let you use it and even "lock it down" so that you're the only one who has it.
I can make avatars for anyone else as well, just ask |

Can you make a hamster-ish one that would be Realms (or even fantasy) enough for Big Al to allow it? |

Thou art persistant, if nothing else, Wooly Rupert
Well of course! How else would I have made Senior Scribe in less than 6 months?
(Actually, the only other forum I'm active on, I've been there for about a year and a half. My post count here passed the post count there about a month ago!)
Back on a more serious (and topical!) note, I have tried to find an icon more appropriate to my status as the Giant Space Hamster of Ill Omen. But other than the one Big Al already said nay about, I've not found anything good. |

Have you seen any space hamster pics at all Wooly? I can crop/resize super easy if you have one in mind. I'll be on the lookout for one if you haven't. What would you like anyway? Just a plain hamster or one weilding a weapon or flying one of those spacejammer ships or something? |

Hey Wooly check this out. Its a groundling from the Monsters of Faerun tome. Its the closest thing I could find in the FR to a space hamster |

I can't even make out what that is...
I did find a pic from the original Monstrous Compendium entry, but it didn't come out too well when I resized it. Maybe if I found a better copy of the original, it could work better...
This is the pic I used on the WotC forums before I was banned, and I use it on the Worlds of D&D forums, as well. I'm not sure if it's a hamster or not, but the sheer silliness of the image appealed to me. |

Its a groundling like I said. And it looks clear to me. Would it help I got an even closer pic of the face? Or maybe back out the other way to give the view of the body?
