I found the information given in the FCRS interesting, but does anyone have additional lore on Nimbral, especially regarding its current state?

Sorry for asking, and I have no answers, but what is the Nimbral?

A small island nation southwest of Lantan. It is known for having many powerful wizards and fairy-tale-like castles and knights. |

FRCS, page 150

Nimbral the Sea Haven is a fabled and seldom visited land that lies off the western coast of Faerun, southwest of Lantan.
Sourcemaster2,
I've found nothing more current than what is in the FRCS. The seldom visited apparently means more coverage probably won't be coming anytime in the near future. |

I touched on Nimbral indirectly in Serpent Kingdoms in the write-up of Samarach. There's also an image of a Knight of the Flying Hunt in the book (also found here: http://www.wizards.com/dnd/images/sk_gallery/82358.jpg).
If you have access to older sources, you can find information on Nimbral in "Wizards and Rogues of the Realms" and in the 2nd (I think) novel of the Cloakmaster Cycle, the very old Spelljammer Quintet. (It includes a map of the capitol city which was repeated in the FR Atlas, I believe.)

That's right. There's some particularly interesting details about this mysterious realm peppered throughout the section on wizards. It's definitely recommended reading for those looking to learn the whole story about Nimbral and it's unique and incredibly gifted spellweavers.
