I have absolutely NO knowledge on PbEM...and I have many questions about it...To get started, here is one.First: What is it and how do you play it?

I have a little game going on in the Adventuring section. What did you want to know Aldrick? I guess I answered your first question in part there. How do you play? You Play by e-Mail of course.
Really, just ask if you have specific questions. We just recently started, and I think its new to everyone, but we're learning.

My players still created their characters to play, and we will still roll the dice for combat, skill use, etc., but PbeM so far is interactive storytelling. With e-mail you can say a lot more as you think of it, but the game goes slower, much slower, than a person-to-person game. Even if you know only the basic rules you can find a PbeM game, or a game with friends. Its not about the rules!

Aldrick, youll be better off buying the D&D Players Handbook to learn the rules before you join any PbeM.
