Does this mean I don't need to create that "Elminster versus Drizzt" thread that I was about to?
For those interesed in a potential Drizzt/Cale meeting and/or combat, both authors that created these characters have threads in the Novels forum. That would be the place to pose any question/desire about a potential meeting between the two characters. |

I agree with Bookwyrm. I see little reason to ponder a battle like this...
It's not likely to ever happen. Most authors leave alone the characters of other authors... And so this battle, like so many other hypothetical ones, comes down to personal opinion. Whoever a particular person thinks is cooler is who'll they'll argue for.
So the whole issue is moot. Sorry, but that's the way this hamster sees it. |

That's not true!!!
Everyone with sense knows Cale would win a fight against Drizzt.

Well, it's quite clear that Drizzt would win as he sells more novels and, more importantly, his name is first alphabetically ...
I thought topics like these didn't pop up in these hallowed halls. I guessed wrong.

They haven't since before you joined up. I'd been hoping they wouldn't again.
Fortunately, it isn't another "Drizzt versus Legolas" argument. That was what was going on when I first joined; fortunately, I learned there was more to discuss. |

I can agree with that simplistic (even if it is a too literal) logic...

Buzzcutter creates a thread saying that he wants to see Cale and Riven go at it,or both of them go at with Drizzt.I want to know why he wasted the time to do so.Tis all.I know this has been beaten into the ground, and there really isn't any good answers. Why would it wet your appetite Buzzcutter.Because I agree with the concensus. It's a waste of time to discuss.
Also I don't see Cale as an anit-hero.Riven for sure, given his past, but not Cale. |
