Who doesn't love Kobolds?

Is it just me or has the Kobolds usage dropped in 3.5/3E? I mean we rarely see them in an adventure, and yet in 2nd Edition there little guys where one of the staple critters, especially nice en masse against higher level adventurers. (I mean one of thwem has to roll a 20...)

These minatures have been along time coming

Once upon a midnight dreary, while i pondered, weak and weary,
Over many a quaint and curious volume of forgotten lore-
While i nodded, nearly napping, suddenly there came a tapping,
As of some one gently rapping, rapping at my chamber door.

I was more than a little annoyed by this month's preview... where are Shining south or Libris Mortis? We get loads of figurine pics, and two Eberron things, and even a long bit about the tedious Cold Weather book - but nothing on the stuff I'm actually looking forward too.

Sorry. I'm feeling moody today. Also, that was a bit off-topic, so sorry Dargoth.

If it helps the mood, think of this article as proof that WOTC knows FR items will sell and don't need any hype/help. As for others....

Plenty of time left for some SS previews. Thank you to Dargoth for sharing this link.

Hmmm...

The Ethereal Filcher looks interesting, although I hope we'll be seeing more of the 'ethereal' type creatures with this expansion.

That certainly got my interest! I havent got any of the D&D minis (due to the randomization of the packs). It would have been nice to release a small "War of the Spider Queen" pack with all the characters from the series and a few monsters thrown in

Well funnily enough I was just about to ask a very similar thing.... Ive only just gone over to the WotC site to take a look over the past Mini's image galleries, and noticed numerous mini's which related in no way to the expansion title. The most extreme being Giants of Legend!

I'd also have been much happier if they had produced a specific FR mini's expansion rather than throwing a handful of Realms-specifics in a generic pack.

Exactly, all we need is a mini featuring a gnome cleric and it will be over the top for weirdness.

The theme of the box name ussually only means 5-10 of the minis in the set are tied to the Boxs theme. Just because the sets called Aberrations doesnt mean all the minis will be aberrations

There has been some thought on this.

Several people over on the WotC boards have suggested that these minis merely missed out on being included in other early expansion packs. It has been said that they were included in Aberrations, to provide a full and complete set of minis for this expansion.
