I don't know where I should have posted this topic so I decided to have it in General FR Chat.

Does anyone know of any websites that are detailed in Faerunian lore? I know there were several that members posted before but I couldn't find them again.

I really like Empire of Sand http://www.hallofhero.com/sand/

It has a lot of info on running desert based games -- specifically Egyptian themed campaigns.

As a result, it has a lot of stuff compiled relating to the Ancient Empires of Faerun.

After my own experiences, I hesitate to direct someone over to the WotC forums. But I know there was a thread devoted to useful FR links. I believe it was even stickied...

Here's the one Wooly meant: http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=186519. Quite a nice collection - for one compiled by WotC! (*points to links provided by me - Dandello.net and Eilistraee.com*)

Ah, thank you. I was hoping someone would provide the link, so I wouldn't have to wade back thru that morass to find it.

Feels left out since I have my own FAQ over on the WOTC boards... :)

For some of us, books are as important as almost anything else on earth. What a miracle it is that out of these small, flat, rigid squares of paper unfolds world after world, worlds that sing to you, comfort and quiet and excite you... Books are full of the things that you don't get in real life - wonderful, lyrical language, for instance, right off the bat. - Anne Lamott, Bird by Bird
