I remember reading somewhere that the names of the Years were written down a long time ago by a mad? prophet
Who or what was this prophet?
Do the names of the Years have any connection to the events that happen in that year?
There are many gaps in the timeline presented in FRCS, is there an authoratative complete listing of names?

1) According to the Realms-L FAQ, Alaundo and Auguthra the Mad. I believe that Auguthra had some prophecies, and Alaundo compiled them, or something like that. I think Alaundo had some prophecies of his own, but I could be mistaken. I'm sure someone will reply to clarify his role. 
2) In many cases, yes.
3) The file was originally on the Wizards website, but if it remains there, it's so well-buried that you'll never find it (and their search engine is about as useful as magic is to a Gondsman). Maybe each time their web site is unhelpful or down, WOTC is simply trying to show browsers what certain drow clerics feel right about now?

If this is the same file as I have, it only goes up to 1600 DR, correct? Has there ever been anything published for years after that date or do they figure by that time, we'll be on D&D 9.0210 edition and be too busy converting our old characters? |

Actually I cheated. :) Faraer posted them on the WOTC boards a few weeks back and I burrowed them for my FAQ over there. So I knew where to find the originals since I have them linked on my FAQ. HEHE. |

Seeker Nephilim,
Alaundo and Auguthra the Mad are definitely sources. Also, Nyr'ysr (The Phoenix of Calimport) was a significant source of citing years due to the 8,000 prophecies he put together.
