Hi all great nerdy minds!
I have scoured decades of books and way too many scrolls here trying to find what I'm after, but have come up empty handed and humbly beg your help, thoughts, links, citations, and notes!
I am working on a story idea involving Moander and Ghaunadaur (and I'm thankful so many of you want to see Moander back in action as well!).
I've seen it cited numerous places that Jubilex is an aspect/name/etc of Ghaunadaur. My question is how, if at all, are Moander and Ghaunadaur related (apart from their notated alliance).
If there's no relation between them, would Ghaunadaur support, hinder, or neither the return of Moander? (post second sundering timeframe if that's important)
My initial thought was something akin to Moander's return is actually Ghaunadaur's doing, but I'm uncertain if that idea would hold water.
Thank you all!

Alliances among chaotic evil powers is a tricky thing. They appear to have similar motives and ends without overlapping each other's territory, and so I'd guess it was convenient to ally. If Ghaunadaur saw the return of Moander as furthering its ineffable ends, I think it would support it, but otherwise, I have a hard time seeing either power as truly having friendships where they would go out of their way to support each other. That said, I'm sure someone, probably you if you wanted, could come up with a perfectly good story as to why that happens. |

Ghaunadaur is mostly a deity of the Underdark, whilst Moander is primarily a human power.
I personally don't see them paying any attention to each other. |

Maybe in a context where a human settlement would be near one of the Underdark passages, and for some reason that draws the attention of those both deities, either a powerful artifact or a personal interest in someone there. That would be the first idea that comes to my mind. |
