I have an assignment coming up where we have to do a speech on a topic of our our choosing and I thought I would delve into a specific time period of the Forgotten Realms. What better time period than the best f*ck up ever. Karsus' Folly. Any resources, videos, pdfs, drives etc, all knowledge is welcomed as I want to make this as in -depth as possible. Also could anyone explain how he ascended and the Mystryl-Mystra conundrum as I can't really wrap my head around it.

| Do you have a copy of Magic of Faerun by Sean K Reynolds, Duane Maxwell, and Angel McCoy? The book covers Karsus and his folly in some detail. It's on page 4 and 5. | I know there's quite a bit of information on the Netheril Empire in the 3E Lost Empires of Faerun. I would also check out the 3E Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting, which has a bit of information in it about Karsus and the fall of the Netheril Empire. Finally, I would check out the 2E Netheril: Empire of Magic. I haven't read that last one but I have found that 2E books tend to contain the most in depth lore on any subject related to the Realms. I wouldn't be surprised if it's a treasure trove of information. |

Actually, those are good suggestions. I never picked up the Arcane Age products except for one (and that was a pdf that a friend sent me). Yes, check out Netheril: Empire of Magic (2e). |
