Hello my fellow travelers. In this thread I shall detail my homebrew take on Toril starting with Faerun and its many wonders. My timeline shall begun in 1490 DR, one year after the Age of new troubles. It is a changed World, with more deities, more nations and more cultures inside. New pantheon are formed and old one are reborn, races previously under the total purview of evil deities have now kinder patrons to balance out that influences. Nations are changed nrw and old threats appears anda new age of adventures begins.

Let'start with the New Time of Troubles: After anothervill-concieved scheme of Shar and Bane to take over Toril, Ao decided to restrict the abilitybof the deities to influence mortal, estabilishing fir every sapient being free will. Oh magic can still restrict it but once that magic bond is broken the will is still free. These mean that no deity is anymore able to create a purely conditioned race, istinctively forced to behave in a certain way. Even aberrations and sapient undead got the gift of free will. Ao allowed new deities to enter thecrealm from cosmologies and timelines firgotten like Grondrosh, the Strong Protector, C/G twin brother of Gruumsh defeated at the beginning of times by One-Eye and forgotten until now. He quickly managed to sway whole tribes of orcs expecially the Kingdom of Manyarrows. Same goes for the resurrected deities of Goblinoids, murdered by Maglubiyet during his conquest. And for many others. The Untheric Pantheon was fully restored, and new Pantheons were welcomed in the fold. Eilistraee was promoted to major deity, and Selvetarm changed his own alignement, from Champion of Lolth to Champion of Eilistraee. In Faerun a new surge of chosen and champions brought back ancient civilizations and kingdoms. Kingdoms in disarray became stable again and divided lands were unified. Under the leadership of Lord Dorn Strongarm first High Lord of the Sword Coast, the Sword Coast become an unified Confederacy with the capital city rotating between Baldur's Gate, Neverwinter and Waterdeep. Impiltur is once again a kingdom of noble Paladin Kings. The Dales are united under one King, Dalamyr the Smiling. The underdark is assesting after a brisk change of the balance of power. Quaggoth, Chitinas, Derro and Kuo-Toas are the races who benefitted more from the new state of things. Aboleth Lords were dealt a big blow by the sudden rebellion of the Skums and of a part of the Aboleth themselves, no more burdened by the racial memory. Aboleth turned religious after that events causing Piscaethces suddetto raise in prominente and increasing her interest in Toril. To balance it out, the Aboleth Fraternity, the good aligned Aboleths turned to worship an ancient power of the sea, Forkis, who had been recently recalled on Toril from where he had been kicked out by the jelous Umberlee. The Grandfather of the Sea took a benevolent aspect and helped the Fraternity to estabilish itself. On the othercside several Demon Lords were promoted to full deity status. This however indirectly freed many mortal beings from their direct influence. Gnolls,Minotaurs, Lamias and Ixitxachitls were all suddently freed from their demonic creators influence. Everywere in Toril Sapient undead recovered the alignement they had at the moment of their creation. When things settled Toril was changed forever. |

Of course Impiltur is once again a kingdom of Paladin Kings. King Rilimbrar II has reigned since 1484 DR, when his father King Imbrar III passed away in Tethyr, where he was king-in-exile. Rilimbrar reclaimed Impiltur in the Year of Twelve Warnings (1494 DR), but his authority only extends along the Easting Coast to Hlammach. Dilpur remains abandoned since the Spellplague and Sarshel remains the bastion of the Grand Council, who have refused to cede authority to the returned king. The Uplands remain the province of the group known as the Haelim, who never acknowledged the rule of the Grand Council after the Spellplague. So Impiltur is a fractious place - and ripe for adventuring.
