Warning this thread contains spoilors from Richard Lee Byers novel RAGE

As those of us who have already finished reading Rage know, the Dragon Rage is caused by an Unknown Elven Mythral now Richard Bakers new novel series is Called the LAST MYTHRAL.........

So Rich & Rich is there a link between the 2 trilogy?

“I am the King of Rome, and above grammar”

Emperor Sigismund

"Its good to be the King!"

Good subject to bring up and it will be interesting to find out the answer. To my knowledge, nothing Richard Baker has mentioned so far about his upcoming novel trilogy has hinted at any connection.

Has anyone heard him mention anything recently on the WOTC board?

Wait a minute, that would mean he was discussing a novel there. Scratch the above question. I hope when his novel comes out in August, Mr. Baker gets a chance to stop by these forums. I enjoyed his work on WOTSQ. Thus, I'm looking forward to this upcoming novel.

I'd think he'd enjoy coming over here and answering questions about his novel vs. the daily beating he gets regarding rules on the Ask Rich Baker thread.

I hope he does stop by.

I see some things haven't changed at the WOTC board since I stopped visiting that site.

Rich Baker's trilogy has no connection to mine. (Or, if it turns out that it does, nobody will be more surprised than me, since no one informed me.) If I recall correctly, I'd already finished The Rage before I even heard that Rich was working on something of his own involving a mythal. So I assume it's just a wacky coincidence.

Sure...two imaginative authors and it's just a wacky conincidence? Like we are going to believe that.

Indeed, you'll have to come up with something better...

The Chosen of Vhaeraun
"Nature is governed by certain immutable rules. By virtue of claw and fang, the lion will always triumph over the goat.Given time, the pounding of the sea will wear away the stone. And when dark elves mingle with the lighter races, the offspring invariably take after the dark parent. It is all much the same. That which is greater shall prevail. Our numbers increase steadily, both through birth and conquest. The dark elves are the dominant race, so ordained by the gods." Ka'Narlist of the Ilythiiri.
