Wanted a statue of Lauzoril for something and then figured I could also use it as a drawing internally. Let me know what you think. BTW, I believe he's dirty blonde... he may have darker hair, but I've always pictured him lighter headed. He's always been my favorite Zulkir.

That skull circlet is rather awkward for the man noted to be the most personable and charismatic zulkir.

I believe his appearance is described in great detail in The Simbul's Gift and a black and white potrait of him is in the 2nd edition Thay/Aglarond/Rasheman box set?

May help. From my memory he has brown hair and green eyes! He kept his hair long (not shaved) and has no tattoos, and worships Kelemvor.
Amazing work Sleyvas!

You are correct. The Spellbound boxed set has a black and white picture of Lauzoril, page 111 on its Campaign Guide book. The description says "Hair: Blong with gray streaks Eyes: Green". I saw no tattoos anywhere on his face.

Yeah, I was kind of "back and forth" on that. I didn't want him to look so personable that people would say he looks too friendly (which honestly, I view him in that light, he smiles at you while he kills you). It's more likely a case of "wear what' you need for the time." From Simbul's Gift he has some ties to necromancy (his daughter Mimuay much stronger necromantic gifts), and this is a "pose for a statue" from something he did in the past that was memorable, and he wants to appear "strong" in the eyes of his countrymen. I'll agree though, my first instinct was to cut off a fox's head and make a fox head crown (I already used the lion head crown on another image I'm doing for Peleverai…. though I may go back and adjust... that would be a golden circlet as well, which might be interesting). Actually, that might be a good story to have him having recovered a crown of the elves of old who once inhabited the cliff side city of Peleverai even before the humans did (and which perhaps was the royal crown of Peleverai as well). Make it some kind of artifact with some power of lions and maybe even ties to wemics. Wouldn't be hard to make another model, less threatening (i.e. no fire, weapons, put a crystal ball or book in hand, empty left hand or a staff/wand, etc..) for maybe another statue elsewhere in the city (he is smug....).

THANK YOU! So, blonde fits, though I added no gray streaks, and that does fit the description I mentioned of "dirty blonde" to a degree. I made the eyes blue, but I can change that easily enough, and honestly I don't think its a huge detail (I can't tell you the eye color of 3/4 of the people I know). Hmmm, hadn't thought to look at that resource to check for other magic items, but he's noted as having an ebon lash, a carpet of flying, and a stone horse (I remember the horse in Simbul's Gift I believe). I think I can find a coiled whip on a model rather than create one, and might be interesting if I can show him riding a carpet.

BTW, he's one of the zulkirs that I picture rarely wearing "full robes" except in ceremonial instances. I picture him more in shirts and pants, with sometimes a cloak or an "outer robe", like what you see many "jedi" wearing that appears like a silken bathrobe with no belt and hanging open. In his eyes, dressing this way makes him more personable and less "I'm not like you... see I wear mage's robes". I also picture him encouraging this look in my non-canon version of him which is an awakened clone of him in Abeir for the last century (while the REAL him was in Toril), by having a school for mages built that will resemble a dark version of Hogwarts... a very BEAUTIFUL, but dark version of Hogwarts.

How prescient of you, sleyvas. The black and white picture of Lauzoril looks as if he is wearing an unbuttoned shirt, although the picture is admittedly a head shot. Lauzoril also had an magic intelligent dagger called Shazzelurt (sp). The dagger had its own physical description.

Yep, you can't see it as well in the picture I created, but if you look at the 3d model, I took the dagger from his hand and created what I envision Shazzelurt to look like. One of the two flaming swords is the original dagger, resized to be "sword" sized.
