The quote was much like "When magic one doth weave, 'tis never wise to deceive." From where does the quote come?

This took a bit of search fu to find...
Page 27 of the 3E FRCS, in the section on mage runes:

This may have been a reprinting of earlier lore, but a quick search (maybe 5 minutes) did not find any other references. |
