A gray one is a cleric that has been allowed into the darkest secrets of Myrkul's church. He is a psychopomp, an undertaker, an executioner and an avenger for the dead, but all know that their authority derives from the ever-waiting hand of Old Lord Skull.
A gray one has the following class features.
Death Magic A gray one must select the Death or Repose domain, with his choice of subdomain, if he wishes. He does not gain a second domain. This alters the domain class feature.
Lifebane (Su) A gray one can only channel negative energy. He rolls d8s when channeling negative energy for the purpose of harming living creatures. At 10th level, he gains Improved Channel as a bonus feat, but only against living creatures. At 15th level, he always deals maximum damage when channeling negative energy against living creatures. This alters the channel energy class feature.
Inured to Death (Ex) At 4th level, a gray one gains a +4 bonus to saving throws against negative energy effects and death effects. At 8th level, he becomes immune to aging effects and disease, but he can still become a carrier.
Hand of Myrkul (Su) At 12th level, a gray one can expend one use of his daily use domain powers to envelop his hands in gray-black fire, which he can use as a touch attack. Any creature struck by his touch must succeed at a Fortitude save or suffer 1d4 points of Constitution drain. At 16th level, he can expend two uses to force a creature to succeed at a Fortitude save or suffer 1d6 negative levels, and an additional use to transform any of his domain-based touch attacks into a ray. At 20th level, he can expend three uses to force a creature to succeed at a Fortitude save or die, and may additionally expend an additional two uses of his domain powers to transform any of his domain-based touch attacks into a 60 ft. line.
