I found a passage (and a location on the map) in Drizzt Do'Urden's Guide to the Underdark about a place called 'New Caverns' that suddenly appeared shortly before ToT. It mentions reports of aggresive molds and vegepygmies.

Are there any other later sources about this place? (Its located west of Darklake.)

I'm asking 'cous I'm gathering info for a Northdark/Out of the Abyss campaign I'm likely to be running soonish.

It was an area that Araumycos had retreated from. Don't think its received any further details.
