Hello all!
As you can tell I am new here and like most I came seeking knowledge, but more specifically... FR knowledge.
*creey music starts to play in the background*
I am currently working on a modification for Baldur's Gate 2 about a very old wraith who joins the PC; an undead who was alive around the time Netheril fell and who worships Amaunator. Because this character is so 'old', it means I need info.
So here I am.

Hmm -- Amaunator? Isn't he a bit, well . . . dead? I suppose it might be appropriate for a dead character, but it still seems odd. |

Ah, but in BG2, the PC actually runs into an avatar of Amaunator, along with a certain temple in the game that once cleared of evil still shines with the Keeper of the Sun's light.
Besides, FR gods rarely stay dead. |

* Breaks into a broad grin* Tis about time someone took advantage of the Amunator connections in BG2. Anyways if thee uses the Search function and look up 'A-M-U-N-A-T-O-R' () thou shalt find several scrolls containing mention of Amunator (and due to myself at times) questions and some answers about this deceased... yet living Deity. We Anxiously look forward to thy mod. Nevermind our resident Dragon... He's got a mind of metal, full of gears and ugh.. logic OH! And Welcome to the Keep! Now if thee wilt excuse me, I have a Greatsword of Beserking +2 to find... *Turns and exits.... stage right* |

Well met, Amazordra.
Welcome to Candlekeep. Oh you're sure to find much knowledge within these halls... FR knowledge indeed. Oh, and ahem, ignore the scribes who continue to mention such ficticious locales such as these Dragonlance and Eberron places they keep muttering |

Welcome to Candlekeep. Indeed, I do believe The Sage recently started a thread that dealt with Amaunator. You should search for it... |
The Chosen of Vhaeraun "Nature is governed by certain immutable rules. By virtue of claw and fang, the lion will always triumph over the goat.Given time, the pounding of the sea will wear away the stone. And when dark elves mingle with the lighter races, the offspring invariably take after the dark parent. It is all much the same. That which is greater shall prevail. Our numbers increase steadily, both through birth and conquest. The dark elves are the dominant race, so ordained by the gods." Ka'Narlist of the Ilythiiri. |
