Stumbled upon a computer game called Mages of Mystralia which is billed as having story and lore by Ed Greenwood.
Teaser Trailer here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HE6c4dQLZ_I
An Engadget article about the game here: http://www.engadget.com/2016/03/15/harry-potter-meets-zelda-in-a-fantasy-action-game/
The game is about a woman named Zia who discovers she is a mage. Of course the caveat is she hasn't learned to control her abilities yet and trouble ensues, forcing her to go out into the world to meet all sorts of interesting characters and creatures, some of which are other mages.
The game features a customizable spell system, described as a sort of hex grid format that adds modifiers to base effects, such as curve or magnetize, etc. The mage grid elements seem to be a stylized motif seeing hovering over the spellbook in the trailer and within the game's logo.
Looks to be something to keep an eye out for when its releases.
Apologies if the topic is unrelated to the Realms, but it seemed apt given the game featuring Ed as a story designer.
