Ilmater is all about martyrdom, though. I'd see a Loviatar worshipper proudly showing off his scars as a badge of honor, to show he earned his strength.
Likewise, while Ilmatari would accept another person's wounds with stoic calm, a Loviatan would actually get stronger, like a +1 profane bonus to rolls and saves for every ten hit points they accept in damage.
