Flaw 1 Arrogant: When YOUR people have ruled their lands for 7000 years then you can lecture a Calashite on acceptable cultural practices !!
2 Bigoted: The Calashite Civilization goes backs 7000 years No other human nation can claim that. We are better than YOU
3 Corrupt: Coin talks and if give me some you can walk
4 Lazy: Why work harder than you have to?
5 To not obey ones cultural betters is a mark of the uncivilized!
6 I can not take a woman seriously who does not fit Calashite social norms
Thoughts?
Some of the Traits/Bonds/Flaws where pulled from other Backgrounds in the 5ed PHB
I like it. The only thing that stands out to me is the Equipment. Backgrounds in the PHB seem to give more than just one item.

I like it. The only thing that stands out to me is the Equipment. Backgrounds in the PHB seem to give more than just one item.
It does but the items seem to be of lower value in 5th edition the only other thing I could have given is Tools but I decided to the Background need more Languages then tools. The PGTF has 3 options for Calashite Equipment: Scimitar, Chainmail or a Wand of Magic Missiles. Seeing as how none of the generic backgrounds in the 5ed PHB give magic items I removed the wand.
Regarding more Backgrounds I probably will make a thread. Im also thinking of making More Paladin oaths and Cleric Domains using 3ed material and convert the relevant 3ed Spells from the Initiate of X feats.
I was rather bemused to see that there was a Sage of Candlekeep Background in the 5ed DMG!
Im thinking about writing the backgrounds a Tier system
For example Drow
A Drow Background would be very generic (Which may just be used as a basic template)
However under that you might have City specfic Backgrounds
Say
Citizen of Menzoberranzan (A Lolth Cleric dominated city)/Refugee of Ched Nasad (A survivor or Descendant of a survivor of the fallen city of Ched Nasad) and Sshamath (A drow city ruled by male wizards)
Then under that you have Houses or Organzations specific to that city.
So Under Menzo you might have a Memeber of House Baenre background for Sshamath you might have Backgrounds for the various wizard schools or a Bregan D'aerthe Background would also be down at this level etc
