I would just like to draw all of your collective attentions to the latest D&D Miniatures releases. There are some exciting Chaotic Good miniatures, which include Drizzt, as well as a very interesting Miniatures Gallery which also includes - besides a collection of images of various planar types - a few FR NPCs as well.
Enjoy...

Some of those minatures look really good. I'll have to see if my player who collects minatures is interested in any. |

I thought most of them looked pretty decent as well, although I'm not so sure about the Githyanki/Githzerai miniatures...They just don't look right.
Also, it might have helped for the images to be a little larger...

Shucks! Looks like im going to have to start collecting this set. I never liked minatures and dont own a single one, but as this set contains quite a few Realms specific ones.....then I have no choice |

Yes, the small size of the images is frustrating. You'd think a company like WOTC would realize the benefit of making the images larger. |

OMG, those figures look fantastic! I particularly like the Champion of Eilistraee (yeah, i know, go figure) and the demons. Sage, I don't know where you find the time to surf for these sites with your job and all, but, keep it up bud! |

Yeah I agree with you there, Elrond! I hate randomised collections. I never collected the old TSR Trading Cards and just picked up the complete Factory Set at the end of each series run
As much as Id like to collect this new minature series in order to obtain the FR minatures, I can envisage ending up spending hundreds on trying to get that last FR rare minature and having 20 duplicates of others |

Commenting on the models Sage introduced, isn't it supposed to be called Dragon Cultist, not Cultist of the Dragon? |
The Chosen of Vhaeraun "Nature is governed by certain immutable rules. By virtue of claw and fang, the lion will always triumph over the goat.Given time, the pounding of the sea will wear away the stone. And when dark elves mingle with the lighter races, the offspring invariably take after the dark parent. It is all much the same. That which is greater shall prevail. Our numbers increase steadily, both through birth and conquest. The dark elves are the dominant race, so ordained by the gods." Ka'Narlist of the Ilythiiri. |

Its WoTC They can do whatever they want!?!? Seriously though Shadowlord I think Dragon Cultist is the same as Cultist of the Dragon, I suppose is alot easier to say also!

Actually (not that it makes much difference either way, but) I prefer the term 'Cultist of the Dragon'. It has more of an exotic appeal, and serves (in it's own unique way) to differentiate between the many secret, and underground societies that populate many worlds.

Thanks.... Anyway, I do a great deal of my 'surfing' at work, during 'quite' (such a subjective term ) periods when there are no programs to work on, or, for the most part, when there are no immediate projects that require attention. Usually I would simply read a portion of the current FR novel that I have at the time, but since I'm now up-to-date with the latest releases, I currently have nothing to read (FR-wise)... (Let it be known that I'm now actually reading Feist's latest work )

Exactly. That strong possibility is going to prevent me from spending any amount of $ on the figures. If they want my money, they need to sell the ones I desire, individually. |

They are rather good, and I would probably do the same were it not for all the Planar and Dragonlance setting-influenced miniatures that I will also most likely end up purchasing...

Cleric of Lathander, Champion of Eilistraee, Evermeet wizard, Drow Sergeant, Yuan-Ti pureblood, and maybe even Drizzt as he does look good. |

Fifth row, right next to Drizzt. You just couldn't keep your eyes off the drow and overlook the poor Evermeet Wizard. |

It does appear to be very well done. Of course, futher analysis is prevented without a larger image. Maybe the miniatures have it in their contracts, no up close photos. You know how these divas get once a little attention is given to them. |

I was quite taken with the Drow Sergeant, as he would work well as a Vhaeraunite.....
The Psychic Warrior (7th row, 2nd one over) also held my attention, more for the peculiar sword, than for anything else... |

The Psychic Warrior was one of my favorites also. I'm glad WotC have decided to carry their miniatures line into the 'Psionics' game option. I hope it won't be long until we see a crystalline psion-killer, or maybe even a temporal filcher, gracing our gaming store shelves. A variety of astral constructs would also be nice...

Well, for what it's worth, RPG Shop has some of the rare minis available for individual sale including everyone's favorite nice guy drow.

I'm not sure I'm keen on their prices, but at least buyer's have this option. |

Hmmm, does anyone other than me think the 'Sage' (8th row, 1st one over) miniature is a perfect representation of Bookwyrm?
Though on another note, the Dark Moon Monk (also 8th row, 3rd one over) looks nothing like the Sharran I had envisioned. A more exact representation, in my opinion, can be found on Richard Lee Byer's The Black Bouquet. |

Actually, I thought the 'Sage' miniature looked more like the Grand Loremaster from Rise of the Falcon, but then we all think along different wavelengths don't we...
I suppose the mini could pass as an iconic representation of the Bookwyrm, but I'd need a closer look at both the mini, and the avatar of the Bookwyrm just to be sure...

Not quite . . . but I'd take it.
I also like the silver dragon. Since it doesn't look the same as the silver dragon from The Draconomicon, I could claim it as a mithril. |

I've seen people selling whole sets on ebay. However, they go for around $150-200US depending on the auction. But you get one of each figure and NO dupes! |
