Well, Kismet is pretty often used word. Ksmet was the name of somewhat forgotten DC Comics entity, that was the equivalent of Marvel Comics Eternity. Eternity and Kismet even fell in love during a crossover. Kismet is also a Marvel Comics charater, she is an artificial being, created by the same scientists, who created Adam Warlock. Kismet is also a name of an often adapted play, and used as a name of several songs and albums.

The only use of this term in the Realms I remember though, is as an Bedine name for Tyche.

Indeed, very interesting, I though originally the term Kismet, was brought by proto-Bedine Zakharans, but the founding of the Settlement of Kismet, predates the arrival of proto-Bedine by over 1000 years.

So it does seem that either Kismet is indeed a word that originated from the Ulou language family(ie Netherese, Regard laguages), or Zakharans traveled to, and influenced peoples in the Netheril Basin far earlier than noted.
