I am running a D&D campaign along the Sword Coast and I do not want to surprise my PCs with having to retcon in portions of Drizzt's world changing actions. I believe the books are set in 1484, while the current FR year is 1489, giving Salvatore time not to step on the new edition's toes? Would love some guidance.

'Tis true, The Companions Codex trilogy seems to be set in 1484. Not sure if Vengeance of the Iron Dwarf is set in 1485 or not.
When life turns it's back on you...sneak attack for extra damage.
