Hey everyone, this is my first post aside from introducing myself and I have a query:

In the City System box set the scale on the big maps is one inch = 100 feet, but the space set aside for Castle Waterdeep is only 3.5 inches on the longest side, whereas the included detail map of Castle Waterdeep indicates it's at least double that length. Not that it's ever likely to come up in play, but I'm curious if this is a known issue and if there's some kind of errata on it.

Thanks,

Matt

I would certainly go with the larger scale as it would make far more sense for a city with the affluence of Waterdeep. We're talking a wealthy city with a very storied history AND it leads the Lord's Alliance. Frankly, I would likely make it even larger than the 3.5 scale.

Btw, did the Lord's Alliance continue throughout/after the timejump? Just curious.

I have a dream that one day, all game worlds will exist as one.

That's one way to resolve it, and if the players ask how such a big castle is supposed to sit on such a small strip of land the DM just handwaves it and says the cartographer was drunk :)

Another approach is to assume the one inch = 20' on the Castle detail map was a typo and should've read one inch = 10'. But then the Castle becomes a little cramped.

I was just wondering if there was any known errata about this, similar to the errata about the Savage North map listing the incorrect scale.
