I didn't get past the character "creator." I thought, cool Sundering. I'll use my Sundering character. Don't really care about stats or items, you know, just have it representing. Nope. All characters are pregenerated with some locked off which I'm assuming is a way to get money.
Ok, so no Sundering character. Let's see if any combinations of some of my favorite characters are available. Nope... nope... nope... ok well half-elf ranger is there.. not exactly an elven ranger, but I'll settle.
Nope... can't choose her because Cassandra contains vulgarity.
I removed it after that and complained on twitter. I got a reply, "Arena of War isn't meant to give you the same experience you could get playing a game of tabletop D&D."
Now I realize it's not meant to be the pen & paper game, but it's this same disconnected attitude that turned me off to everything 4e. |

I'll try it when it comes out for Andriod phones, but from the videoes it just looks weird.
What I really want is a Baldur's Gate 3 for my smart phone, but that uses the D&D next rules. And maybe a new and interesting city, or cities, like Calimport or the capitals of Thay or returned Mulhorand. |

The "story elements" of the game may be pathetic, but what little quest text there is mentiones a chosen of Velsharoon.
Another divine comeback?
BTW, can iOS and Android play together? |

I hope so - actually I hope they undo EVERY change made to the Forgotten Realms pantheon. They were all so stupid and pointless. The worst were the Drow gods, who struggled for eons against each other in a game of subtlety who then all decide, what the hell lets play a game and eliminate every layer of anything interesting about drow society so that someone with a Lolth hard on can say she is a powerful goddess now instead of a demon or lesser deity. |

I don't have a smartphone, so I can't critique' the app. I have a tablet that I could probably put it on, but I do not feel inclined to do so. The Neverwinter game left me cold as far their online efforts. |

I got the game for Android. Agreed, it's a nice time waster. I'm not sure how fusion works, I just tap cards until my selected base power has better numbers. Any insights there are welcome.

fusion works on like cards, soa c+ cleave would be enhanced if you used a 2nd c+ cleave card( on that note I tend to put c cleave cards in with it after I've enhanced it with the 5 circles all blue.

So the card gets better by adding like cards to it. Got it, thanks! I've noticed that the level at the top of a card in the fusion window sometimes gets higher when you add dissimilar cards. Do I need to concern myself with that? Obviously attack and hp bonuses are beneficial, but I'm unclear on how level enhances things. It doesn't seem to reflect what level you gain access to an ability. |

I just up it with it myself and those scrolls to do alot of damage( one of mine does 70+ damage)

I typically leave one of my stronger character's up (the Lvl 8 Clr or the now Lvl 7 Ftr, which means I almost have the Pali!!!).
But I do occassionally play some of the other characters (I use them to help with a quick level up so it refreshes my adventuring points, although that is getting harder as all of my characters are now at least level 2 with half of them over level 4 **sigh**), so let me appologize now just in case I accidentally leave my level 2 druid up... |
