Happy Birthday.
I hope we get to see more stuff of yours in the realms soon after the Sundering thingy is done with. |

Aw, thanks guys. Sorry I haven't been by earlier--I was out of town for a while, doing some fairly harrowing things. Check my website for details.
Cheers

| That's a rough experience, friend Erik. My sympathies at having gone thru something like that. |

My sympathies for your traumatic period, Erik. I can only imagine how this situation would have faired in both your heart and mind. |

Happy belated birthday! Man, you're only 30 with that many awesome novels. Makes me feel all old and unaccomplished and stuff (I'll turn 30 next year).
As for the harrowing things, I read that post on your site, good for you (please read that in a sincere, non-patronizing jerk manner). Not an easy thing to deal with at all. The AHA is all about early bystander CPR since studies have shown compressions as soon as possible are leading to the best possible patient outcomes (before that as you probably remember, they were all about early defibrilation) but in a lot of environments you don't get a lot of people who are willing to, or capable of stepping up like you did before park rangers/medics/helicopters arrive. And even after investigators show that there's really nothing more you or anyone else there could have done, it doesn't exactly leave you with a warm, fuzzy feeling. |
