Whether we like it or not, new edition trumps the old ones. Or in this case, it slightly changes it. The fourth edition does not state no aboleths walked Toril (or if you want to be literal, swam the vast seas of Toril) prior to the return of Xxiphu. It only states that the aboleths that are already in Toril migrated from the Far Realm. |
