Does anyone know how to properly pronounce this name? This something the fr wiki sorely needs.

I don't think it's ever been written down in a sourcebook, but check out some of the Neverwinter trailers, you might get lucky and find one with a VO that says it.
As for pronunciation on the wiki, it can depend somewhat on what dialect you speak. I for one am from England and though I usually use recieved pronunciation, I live in an area with a strong regional accent so sometimes I may speak with a southwestern drawl (the same kind of way english folk used to speak back in the 16th-17th century). My fellow admins are from Australia, the 'States, Denmark and other nations, with their own ways of pronouncing certain syllables. Therefore, unless it's explicitly stated in a source, we can't do a pronunciation guide for the majority of names in the Realms. |

For me, personally, I say it /HOHT'-uh-NOOW"/.
The /NOOW/ is now quite /NO/, /NOW/, or /NOO/. It's like a somewhat prolonged version of /NO/, though.
In 1451 DR, the people of Neverwinter would simply say that the mount is hot now. |
