So I caught up on all the Salvatore novels. Last Threshold was fantastic.

Now it seems like the only other authors with established characters participating are Paul S Kemp, Erin Evans, and Ed Greenwood. Am I correct?

The reason I am asking is I still have novels to catch up on.

I can check RA SALVATORE and Ed Greenwood off of the list. I have also read everything by Troy Denning for the realms. I do not think he has an established character participating in the sundering except maybe... CYRIC?

As far as I know only Erin and Paul have ESTABLISHED characters participating in the sundering. Correct? Is Sembia part of the Erevis Cale story?

I have read the THay trilogy by RL Byers, and the Rogue Dragons. Not the brother hood of the griffon though. Might that feature prominently in the Sundering? At this point with my reading speed, DMing, and Home brewing.. no actual BEER brewing, I would rather focus on books feeding into the sundering.

GEEZ I have to try to perfect my Scottish Ale, finish the Anauroch campaign, and read what 10 books from Paul S. Kemp and Erin Evans!

Any answers to these questions would be appreciated...

Richard said The Reaver, his contribution to The Sundering series, will feature new characters. No BotG, no Thay. But there will be a few Red Wizards to grace the occasion.

As for Sembia . . . Well, Shade will be featured, and Sembia is already annexed to the new Netheril Empire of Shade, so it is likely that some events in The Godborn will be set in Sembia.

Every beginning has an end.

The Griffon Brotherhood will not be in The Reavers.

Malik the Chosen of Cyric will be in The Sentenial.

Erin Evins had written 3 FR novels, the Godcatcher which I don't believe will have any characters in the Advesary, and Brimstone Angels and BA: Lesser Evil whose characters will be key in the Advesary.

For Paul Kemp I'd start with Sembia Series, although Kemp is only one of the Authors of that series its important. Then the Erevis Series, and finally the Twilight War Series. Ressurection is also his, but the War of the Spider Queen Series characters are unlikely be in his novel.

From what I understand, Waterdeep Mutual is now selling Sundering Insurance. Be aware the basic policy does not cover (Spellplague) flood damages, so you'll need to add that.

We should all get some.

This is correct, but just to give a clarification (Not trying to step on any toes)

You have read all of Salvatore and Greenwood, so your good there.

You have read Crucible and the Return of the Archwizard series by Troy Denning, so you know who Malik el Sami yn Nasser is. A new character will be featured in the Sentinel (An ex-paladin of Helm) but Malik is also supposed to play a part in it somehow.

The Reaver is all new characters, as the brotherhood would not be around the moonsea area where he needs to write about the sundering. But after the reaver/sundering he will continue writing about the brotherhood (Which is highly reviewed, so in the near future you should catch up to them)

Erin M. Evans characters from The Godcatcher do not play at all in the Adversary. The Adversary will act as a direct sequel to her Brimstone Angels series, as it features those characters and continues those events. You may also want to pick up Realms of the Dead for her short story "The resurrection agent" there, as extra non-needed reading as it is about one of the main characters in her BA novels.

Paul S. Kemp has several short-stories and novels dealing with Erevis Cale (Though the main novel Godborn is going to be about his son all grown up)But to learn about Erevis to catch up on the intrigue I would follow this list:

Another Name for Dawn (Dragon 277, you might also find this online somewhere for free. I remember Kemp posting it at one point in time)

Halls of Stormweather (Book 1 of the Sembia series, a collection of short stories by various authors, but includes Erevis' first appearance)

Shadows Witness (Book 2 of the sembia series, none of the other sembia novels deal with erevis after this)

All the Sinner Saints (This is another short story story you should be able to find online)

The Erevis Cale Trilogy (Twilight Falling/Dawn of Night/Midnight's Mask)

Soulbound (This is another short story that was featured in "Realms of the dragon" its loosely based on the cale trilogy, and is best read inbetween Dawn of Night and Midnight's Mask)

The Twilight War trilogy (Shadowbred/Shadowstorm/Shadowrealm)
