In Dragon 200, Ed Greenwood mentions an NPC named Sumbral the Mystical in the adventure "The Whistling Skeleton". In 1996 Roger E. Moore mentioned him as Realmslore, as a pre-lich version of Sumbral. Does anyone know where I can find more information on him? I just ran my gaming party through "The Whistling Skeleton" and they really don't like loose ends, nor do they enjoy a visage of a face following them around, so they want to take him on.

Now plugging away on mass conversion to 5e, as well as my imprint J. Halk Games.

The only thing I found via Google looks non-canon, at: http://reocities.com/danny_venkman/sumbral.html

I guess that's not what you're looking for, since you posted in the Sages section.

Yeah, that is the same thing I found. Nothing at all canon in there really.
