Right now I'm in an RP on a forum and I really want to introduce a second character but I can't choose between an Avariel cleric of Aerdrie Faenya or a Nordic cleric of Frey (who should have had his name spelled Freyr).

My problem is thus: I already have an elf in the RP and I want to be an outsider-type with a Nordic flair from the Beastlands (where the Nordic pantheon has their home realms).

The Avariel seems like a fun new thing to do, but I already have an elf in the game.

The Frey cleric would be fun and new, but I can't find an outsider type that resembles what I'm talking about.

Can anyone help with this decision?

I would be interested in a human from the Beastlands, but I haven't found any information on the humans there.

Well there likely are a few humans in the Beastlands, though mostly trying to live protected from the Beasts. I also do not know any lore about settlements of humans in the Beastlands, however it clearly is possible that trappers, hunters, gathers clearly could have established a settlement within those lands.
There is also option of human adopted by the one of the dominate races, think Tarzan as example for that type of human.

"Small beings can have small wisdom," the dragon said. "And small wise beings are better than small fools. Listen: Wisdom is caring for afterwards."
"Caring for afterwards ...? Ker repeated this without understanding.
"After action, afterwards," the dragon said. "Choose the afterwards first, then the action. Fools choose action first."

this for a realms based campaign or somewhere else? For a nordic-flair beastlands race, I'm thinking some kind of bear people or wolf people. A modified in looks and outlook version of a gnoll might work (i.e. more doggish, but stat-wise similar). Also, the spirit folk found in Rashemen would fit the beastlands. Another option is going "giantish/trollish", so a half-giant (from expanded psionic handbook) may work. Given that frey married a giant female, this might work.

Alavairthae, may your skill prevail

The Norse pantheon has their home realms in Ysgard. The Beastlands is a different plane. There aren't many nordic outsiders, what Wooly said, einherjar.

Other options would be valkyrie; fensir - ysgardian trolls; liosalfr - light ''elves'' from Midgard's Northlands book; huldra, uldra; midgard dwarf from Frostburn; norn; ratatosk; skogsnufva - a type of tree spirit.
