What was trolling.
Seriously?
Just because someone holds a different point of view doesn’t mean it’s your job to counter it, Wooly. When people post their opinion, they’re not issuing a challenge for you to respond to.
The next time a scribe posts something you disagree with, please don’t put words in their mouth. Don’t be sarcastic. Don’t aggressively pursue their every word. Don’t refuse to see their point of view.
Instead, try steering the conversation back to Realms-talk (you know, behave like a moderator) instead of turning it into yet another sparring contest where you don’t stop throwing (verbal) punches until the other person backs down/gives up/leaves the forum space.
Doing this, you might just discover that the person you’re bashing won’t be as likely to perceive other scribes who disagree with them as harassing them, and so are less likely to lash out at their fellow scribes.
Nobody is asking you to agree with everyone.
Just stop being such a jerk. |

| Check your PMs, Jeremy. And kindly stop publicly attacking me every time you disagree with me. It's freaking old. |

As has been pointed out, there are many groups in the real world (and, no doubt, in FR) that are exclusively the province of men - knightly orders, priesthoods, religious cults, civic organizations, etc. In FR, where there is more equality between the sexes, this is less common than in our world, but I'm sure it exists. Some groups may ban or restrict the membership of one sex because of their target audience or function, e.g. a guild of midwives or a deity who protects women. I won't mention drow because the OP asked not to, except to say that there's a strong sex bias in their society, so women tend to occupy positions of power (just as men, in our society, tend to). I think that Aldrick and MrHedgehog have made valid points in reference to realsmslore (canon or otherwise).
As to the issue of affirmative action, I'll acknowledge that the bias against white males is deliberate (obviously) - however, the purpose is to encourage equal representation of all groups, which is to say, to overcome an entrenched bias in favour of white males. In some cases, requirements are relaxed for those groups against which systemic discrimination is rampant in order to encourage their inclusion. The point of affirmative action is to overcome centuries or millenia of inbuilt discrimination, NOT because the groups in question are innately incapable of meeting the same criteria (I'll concede that there may be exceptions, e.g. strength requirements for firefighters, but these should be looked at on a case-by-case basis), which would be racist/sexist/whatever. For example, the lower educational achievement or wealth of many non-male/non-white groups is due to systemic biases against them in terms of school admissions, teaching conditions, negative social expectations and hiring practices. Ideally, once equality is encouraged and society no longer discriminates against certain groups, there should be no reason to continue applying different sets of criteria.
To address the apparent intent of the original post, if you want male-only groups and can't find enough in existing realsmlore, feel free to invent some - knightly orders, priapic cults, homosexual warrior bands, or separate male/female priesthoods for certain deities with different agendas/practices. As EytanBernstein said, "It's your game, so you can put whatever you want in it."
