"Seriously, Razor Coast isn't all weresharks, tentacled horrors, lost civilizations on volcanic islands, twisted drugs born of vibrant tropical flowers, pirate Queens and undead cannibal pygmies. Oh no! There are sewers beneath Port Shaw. And things lurking there"
Frog God Games are at it again - a pathfinder or swords and wizardry adventurepath/sourcebook/awesome game supplement funded via kickstarter.
As ever with FGG the production will be top notch, the stretch goals are good and they will deliver soon after the kickstarter finishes rather than a year or more later as it seems most other kickstarters do....

And check out the sneak peeks to see what the final product will look like, I am mightly impressed with what I have seen and look forward to getting my hands on the completed product!
Cheers

Sounds interesting. I'll have to see how funds can be juggled, to see if they can accomodate this. |

I'd heard some vague tidbits about this late last year. Glad to hear it's going ahead.
I only hope I'll be able to borrow from next month's budget n order to throw my support behind it. |

This is good news. Because based on the sneak peaks posted on the Frog God Games blog, I've already been laying the ground work for transposing most of this material to my current Dragon Coast campaign. |

I've decided not to participate in this one. I want to, but it's just too expensive for my current funding to get even a pdf of the campaign book, as opposed to the player's guide. Plus, I prefer to get physical books when I get into a Kickstarter.
It also doesn't help this one that I happened to find another KS project that sounds more interesting to me, and does offer a physical book at the $50 level. And it's got weeks to go, yet, which makes it easier to work into the budget. |

Gaming budget is quite stretched this month, but there's some leeway. I decided to back this.
I've been following the development of this for ... years, though fortunately avoided the pre-order mishap that carried through that long production delays. I'm glad to see the designer work through setbacks in real life and settled with the pre-order customers. Setting up with Frog Gods will realize this setting and adventure into a full-fledged product. There are good designers attached to this. I think there will be great material in the Razor Coast, can't go wrong with pirates and weresharks.

I've finally begun to start replacing some of my older RPG sources with physical books, so my budget is uber-tight as well.
So many games, so little time...
Glad this one got funded - I'll probably eventually have a look at it (I do so love Sea/Pirate based campaigns). |

What's funny is, before kickstarter existed, the author, Nicolas Logue, tried to fund this through his own website. This was maybe 4-5 years ago? Not sure, but it was a loooong time ago. I remember contributing, but I figured it was vaporware. It never materialized, and I forgot about it.
When they did the Kickstarter, I remember feeling a little miffed that I had donated to the project way back when, and now they were finally producing it by a different route, but I didn't expect to be remembered or ever see a copy for myself.
Well, lo and behold! I just got an email asking for my address where to send me my copy because I was on the list but they couldn't figure out why kickstarter didn't have my info. It's nice to know that the author upheld his end, and the seed I planted so many years ago is finally bearing fruit.
I'm glad for the author that he did finally get it made, because it surely looked like a very sweet project, and I'm excited to finally get to see it in print.
You know, I have no idea what my donation qualifies me for in terms of kickstarter levels. But if he's doing signed numbered books, I think I deserve to be very near the start of the line. |
