What were the Sages at Wotc thinking when they made this class... its one of the most munchkin things ive ever seen... it upsets me deeply when my players can come up to me and say "hey i can fly with good menuverability, have +8 str several other +'s to my stats and no minus's...not to mention +7 natural armor...and only at +2 lvl adjustment.
naturaly i respond "if its not Wizards then no you dont" and they reply
"it is!!"

i was very deeply upset about this class i think it should be more like a +4 lvl adjust at very very least.
Wotc im dissappointed...

anyone else have a opinion on this char race...it is in draconomicon

It's rather overpowered. But that's why I don't let my players play such races, most exotic one of my players has been was an ogre.

A wise man from Calimport once told me: "If a merchant puts sand in the flask of oil he's trying to sell you, then he isn't trying to sell you sand..."

Actually I've never used 'Dragonkin' in my games. When this type of need for a Draconic-type has come up in my games though, I simply use the Draconians from the DLCS, altering them as I see fit, and using it as a template basis. They're a much better (game-wise) alternative.

One note: The dragonkin's LA of +2 is added to its Hit Dice of 7 to produce a total ECL of 9, meaning any prospective player will have to trade in 9 levels for all those advantages...
I really don't have any thoughts on the race, not having used them much.
