I am currently running two campaigns set on the Island of Lantan. The first campaign, meeting weekly (except the 4th Sunday of the month) is named Dark's Lantan: In Search of Adventure. The Second Campaign (meeting the 4th Sunday of the month) is named Dark's Lantan Homebrew.
Dark's Lantan: In Search of Adventure runs weekly (4th Sunday each month off) from 8:30-8:45 PM to about 10:30 PM to 11:00 PM Central US time (GMT-6) with the variance there due to when I get my kids to bed. This game currently has three players and I am looking for 2-3 players. There is a focus on Roleplay versus Hack & Slash, although I'm not the best GM for voices, I do attempt some. With the addition of new players this may change to 1st and 3rd Sundays, but that's going to be done by vote once characters are created. Starting level for this campaign is level 1, 75% max starting gold, with "standard" gold achieved usually by the end of the second adventure at level 1.
Next Session for Dark's Lantan: In Search of Adventure is Sunday, January 6 (thank you holiday season).
The fourth Sunday per month is running the Dark's Lantan Homebrew campaign (which is part of an ongoing campaign, but due to life I am down to 2-3 players, since one moved to Germany for work and we expanded to this slot to still be able to continue the campaign [yay internet!]).
This campaign has 2-3 players and I am looking for 3 players to fill it out. Currently containing a Monk and a "Steampunk Necromancer" (Lawful Neutral Grey path from Dragon 298) with a third player possibly joining in addition to this invite.
This game is played from 2:00 PM Central to 5:00 PM Central. Starting level for this campaign is 1200 GP, with a maximum item value of 500 GP.
Both games set in 1372 DR, using the Pathfinder rules with some light homebrew.
Basics: 20-point buy, Gnomes, Humans, Catfolk, Water Genasi, and Undine are the main races allowed (and are listed in my main document with PF stats as I felt appropriate which will be emailed to prospective players), although other races would be accepted with proper backstory (2 paragraph min). A single campaign trait, plus one standard Pathfinder Society trait (the pathfinder society traits download from Paizo is the place for these).
Homebrew: A single extra skill (Blend, from Fantasycraft), Action Dice from the APG, Firearms, and a modified Armor as Damage Reduction + Defense Bonus (stolen from FantasyCraft). There are campaign traits, one must be selected, while the second can be taken from any available to a Pathfinder Society member, with approval of course.
The only campaign map I have is one made by MarkusTay that I have modified for the purposes of the homebrew. It will be sent in the main island information along with the second (shorter) document of campaign rules.
I do not track experience traditionally. I run something similar to the Pathfinder Society (and, in fact, convert some PFS Scenarios to my use), where it takes 2 to 3 full adventures to level up. I do this because I think it's a more realistic view, and it allows players to develop their characters over time. As far as magic items, there are sum modifications to pricing, such as Ioun Torches costing 135 GP, not significantly less.
The intent of the campaigns are a mix of urban steampunk, Miskatonic jungle and ruins exploration, and mystery/suspense. Unfortunately, this is not how the campaign begins and will be determined by whose character I can hook the best.
Think monsters meets the modern Sherlock Holmes movies, perhaps with even a few other horrific surprises along the way. The gaol is to be balanced between Roleplay/investigation and combat, which I have succeeded at so far.
The area has some significant homebrew due to not being expanded in the campaign settings and guides I have available to me, and I've written my own version of the cities involved, regardless of actual canon.
I am using the Core Rulebook, the Advanced Player's Guide, and the Gunslinger rules (and related feats) from Ultimate Combat. All non-Core or APG feats must be approved. I would prefer little to no min-maxing, although being effective while allowing others to shine as well would be appreciated.
Lurkers would be okay, as I'll place these sessions on Air during our games, while the Roll 20 portion will not be on air (due to the above internet... issues).
You're welcome to reply to the topic, but I would prefer a private message for any interest. Please let me know which game you are interested in and what type of character you want to play.

I'm trying to avoid Aasimar and Tieflings (see above races allowed). Mostly because there aren't a lot of places for them in the campaigns. If you can get me a proper backstory on the Tiefling, I'm definitely pro-considering. It should be the PF core Tiefling, not one of the others from the Blood of Fiends book.
PM Me with an idea of what you're thinking and I'll run with what I can and let you know what wouldn't work (that and I don't send my email other than by PM). |
