With the up coming Sundering, it seems as if some of the other series are either getting pushed aside (correct me if I'm wrong), or some series were supposedly wrapped up but still have a lot of loose ends. I understand that sometimes the loose ends are intentional, but I can think of two series off the top of my head that don't feel completed. And they were good series, mind you, which is why I'd like to see more. List the series you feel need an addition, but you don't know when/if it will happen do to current directions in WotC and the Realms.
Chosen of Nendawen Unbroken Chain Shadowbane (Erik I know you're writing the next one, but it may not come out for awhile, do to current events, yes? Correct me if I'm wrong)

Brotherhood of the Griffon. Richard said Prophet of the Dead would be the last book. [His novel in The Sundering is not about the Brotherhood.] |

Brotherhood of the Griffon is not ending. The current Rashemen story will conclude in Prophet of the Dead, and then I will take a break from the Brotherhood to write about my new character Anton Marivaldi and the Sundering. But I've talked the matter over with my editor, and our plan is for the adventures of Aoth and his buddies to continue. I'm just not sure yet exactly when that will be. |

Yeah RLB, I'm all for you writing other stories too, but I've come to look forward to the Brotherhood books as much as my Drizzt saga ones each year. I know you have put out two books a year in the past, so what are the chances you will do a Brotherhood book and a Sundering character book each year? |

jornan: I don't know the answer to that. I suspect it depends on how successful the Sundering is at renewing enthusiasm for the Realms. If the audience becomes more interested in supporting Realms products, that could lead to an expanded fiction line. A more robust fiction line could lead to two novels a year from me. I'm certainly open to it, depending, of course, on financial issues, other opportunities that may come my way, etc. At this point, all I can do is speculate, and I suspect the honchos at WotC would tell you the same. We're all going to be waiting with fingers crossed to see if the Sundering and D&D Next succeed in their objectives. |

I hope Brotherhood Griffin novels continue, too. I don't want unfinished series to just be...cut off. I mean, 4e disappointed a lot of people, but there were still things being written in that era |

Good to know that there are plans for the Brotherhood of the Griffon to be around for some time still.
Not that I have a problem with seeing new characters. I liked the Year of Rogue Dragons too. |

There's more story there, but WotC hasn't contracted it as yet. I'm certainly open to the possibility, but what will make it possible is support for the series online.

I want to see more Erevis Cale & Co after the Sundering. Same goes for Richard's brotherhood. Regarding Shadowbane I cannot say yet because I could not read those books yet. There's a lot more stuff I would like to see more from, but the above mentioned ones are probably the most realistic ones, as all the others I liked were rather 2e or beginning of 3e. |

I really really really like the themed novel series. The Fighters, The Rouges...etc. I would love to see more of those. But I would love the themes to be expanded. The Giants, The Dwarves, the Harpers, The Zhentarim. Small contain stories about people in these larger groups. |

Or maybe they could do a follow-up call the Scions of Scions of Scions of Arrabar. |

While I agree with Sage's suggestion*, I wanted to throw my vote behind this idea. I have enjoyed these collections and I am just now getting into the Harpers series and I think there is still plenty of potential here. A new ongoing Harper series would be good, though I believe a counterpoint like a Zhentarim series should be considered along side it.
Likewise I think more series set up like Ed Greenwood Presents Waterdeep should be explored. Set them in different cities/kingdoms (depending on size) around the Realms. Hopefully this would be used to explore some lesser used parts of the Realms or to explore in greater depth parts that have already received coverage (like parts of Cormyr that don't get lots of coverage in the novels already set there).
*I have read almost 130 Realms novels and there has been only 1 that I have read that I would hesitate to pick up a sequel to it. |

I would like to see more from the characters of "Venom in her veins" form Tim Pratt http://www.amazon.com/Venom-Her-Veins-Forgotten-Realms/dp/0786959843/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1353506313&sr=8-1&keywords=venom+in+her+veins
I'm also interested in more about the characters in Abolethic Sovereignty. We had a cameo by one character from the trilogy in "Spinner of Lies" by Bruce Cordell.
I want Lisa Smedman to write more about Q'arlynd Melarn, so anything with him would be great. Continuing either Dwarves stories form The Golden Rune or the from the character in House of Serpents for some psionic magic.
I's also like to see Aliisza's son in a novel soon, and more Jack Ravenwild.. As well as Liriel and Elaith from Elaine ASAP. |

I know that they ended the series, but I'd like to see more Harpers books -- or, at the least, similar one-shot novels focusing on power groups. We had some good stuff come out of those novels, especially the ones Elaine wrote. |

I too want more of everything. I especially want more of:
Brotherhood of the griffon (all his work from the undead series to this point has been amazing)
The nendawen series (I think this author, maybe more than any other, has embraced the changes in the realms and really brought it to life. I would like to see more authors experiment with the fey a bit.
The characters from the abolethic sovereignty (can't recall the names, but the sorcerer who took over the bat portfolio, the girl with the dream walking, the captain that was the son of a god (I think, or whatever that was, I'm sure someone will correct me.) also, possibly in a different book, a resurgence of the cerulean keepers.
As someone previously mentioned, quarlynd Megarn and the surviving characters of that series.
The characters from the last mythal series.
Finder, possibly alias (since she's a construct, does she age?)
Obviously the drizzt series.
Obviously erevis cale and all characters related to him.
Definately shadowbane (how can you leave me hanging like that!)
A continuation of the series that took place with the psionicists and yuan-Ti (not necessarily those characters because that ship has sailed, but I really liked the series)
I'm sure I'm forgetting a ton, but these were the first that came to mind. |

I would think so. Though she and the other Alias vessels are constructs, they were constructed to be as similar to humans as possible -- to the point that at least one of them, Cat of Ordulin, has gotten pregnant and given birth to children. |

I wonder if Alias (and her "sisters") would reach a certain point (adult/maturity) and just stop aging. It's an interesting question, and certainly an opening for a novel or three.

Maybe it's a little like the Jackal's clones of Peter Parker/Spider-Man... in that, once the clones each reached a certain age, they individually experienced unexpected consequences [whether positive or negative {DM's discretion}] -- stuff like cellular degeneration [negative], increased strength [positive], greater mental clarity [positive], decreased agility [negative] -- as examples. |

Anything with Clan Battlehammer and Mithral Hall. I miss King Bruenor, but I'm jonesing for more of the Hall layout and Clan history to be explored in print.
And while the door seems to have been closed on Jarlaxle and Entreri, Jarlaxle and Kimmuriel had a fascinating conversation on the irreverent drow's thoughts about both hating and profiting from the goddess of chaos, at the same time. I would love to follow those two's relationship further. |

I haven't read Venom In Her Veins yet, though I have it, but the other ones, I agree! And I'm blanking. Which character from Abolethic Sovereignty appeared in Spinner of Lies? But all the others you listed I would definitely like to see more of!
And I would like to see more Zak period! As I've said before, not in the past, but present. I'd like his spirit make an appearance, but that's just because I like knowing where souls are. And I'd love to see more Jarlaxle. I've missed him in the last two Drizzt books. |
