Hi, sages!

I've been looking for more info about the final fall of the Fallen Kingdom, I mean the one that was founded by the elven refugees of Ascalhorn and dwarves of the Forlorn Hills. When was its end? What happened to their people? I recall seeing somewhere that it succumbed to orc or goblinoid invasions, and that the elves went to Evermeet, but I haven't seen any date. Any source I can research, besides 3.5 the Great History, Lost Empires or 2e Hellgate Keep?

What information are you after? This "Fallen Kingdom" existed for less than a year and pretty much in name only. It didn't succumb to orcs, it succumbed to the elven refugees from Eaerlann not wanting to have anything to do with the humans of the Delimbiyr and leaving en masse for Evermeet. The dwarves of the region had been prepared to enter into an alliance with the elves but it simply didn't work out.

Thank you very much, Mr. Krashos. I thought I read somewhere that it lasted for about two human generations and ended because of orc attacks, but I must have mistaken the references with other realm also called "The Fallen Kingdom". I'll ask again if I find something in my previous sources.

falling back on dwarf/elf stereotypes for a moment... this was an event of singular cosmic significance and ominous portent. if i was a Wizard of the Coast, i would have relied on this to herald the Spellplague.

on a more serious note, you can't blame the elves... humans are bad news. always, in all ways.

then again, Aryvandaar made Netheril look like a playground fight. i'm gonna go back to racist blithely ignorant Mulhorand now. carry on!

Got it, the Fallen Kingdom that was swept by orcs was the Kingdom of Man. The references say it lasted for two generations, but IIRC it was only comprised of humans, gnomes an halflings.

Well, my doubt was about the duration of the other Fallen Kingdom, and even if by the way it is written I thought it didn't last very much, I was thinking about a few decades, not only one year.

You may want to contact Erik Boyb - I know he has a VERY comprehensive history for all of those kingdoms and that entire region.

I, unfortunately, am not at liberty to share his material (which is a damn shame, since it is amazing). He may be able to extract the relevant history bits for you, though.

Thank you once again, Markustay. Sent my question to Mr. Boyd, but apparently he is away once again.
