My favorites are all "generic" (as in, not unique) magical weapons: Flying daggers from the first Ruins of Undermountain boxed set, dragonfang daggers from Dragon 169, and gemswords from SJR1 Lost Ships.

Interestingly, all of those come from Ed's pen.

I like Thunderstaves as written up in Volo's Guide to All Things Magical. I also liked Ilbratha, Mistress of Battles, from The Magister. It wasn't any mighty artifact but it had a history and some interesting powers to go along with it's +1 to hit and damage.

Arilyn's moonblade was also a cool idea I thought when I read about it. I liked that the sword gained powers from it's wielders, that they had to sacrifice to hold one, and that even trying to claim one was a risky proposition for an elf since they could be judged unfit and die by the blade they hoped to claim.

Jarlaxle's twin wrist daggers... Endless supply of daggers at the flick of a wrist or keep ahold and double flick for long swords.

Oh, far too many to name here.

The most familiar ones that immediately come to mind, though, would be:- Khelben's patented Blackstaff, Robyn's 'Staff of the White Well', as detailed Heroes' Lorebook, and the hopeblades from Steven Schend's Blackstaff novel.

Glowstones from FR11, the various Eyes (Ruins of Undermountain - an FR version of Quaal's Feather Tokens), Andrathath's Mask (from the "uncut" version of City of Splendors: Waterdeep), the Sash of Spells (from VGttD) and Malagar "the Burnfang" (Dragon #277 - shameless plug).

Yep, its the ancient weapon which has ties to Eltab that was believed to be created by the ancient Raumathari and used by Yvengi and others.

Khelben's Blackstaff, Cale's Weaveshear, and Arilyn's Moonblade. Though, were it canon, Lilarcor would top them all.

Do the Realms have a Surgeon General?

I'm imagining Ed as El as C. Everett Koop!

And a little warning sticker on the side of that pipe!

I too love the Shattering Swords. Also, Susk the Silent (perhaps not FR canon. Not sure of the first appearance. I know it from the Encyclopedia Magica.

I always liked Aegis-Fang, the fact that it returns to your hand to surprise enemies always made me chuckle.

Personally I think my favourite weapons would have to be the Moonblades and the Staff of the Abyss and Drow house Insignia as described in 2nd ed. "Drow of the Underdark" book.
